Sekiya Miotsukushi:

Tawaraya Sotatsu is a painter who was active in Kyoto during the Keicho-Kanei period (1596-1644), and is known as the ancestor of the Rinpa school following Korin Ogata and Hoitsu Sakai. Sotatsu was supported by the wealthy upper-class townspeople and public houses in Kyoto, and in the spirit of the classical revival at that time, the aesthetic sense of the elegant dynasty was revived. Based on the 14th book "Miotsukushi" and the 16th book "Sekiya" in "The Tale of Genji", this work is one of the three designated national treasures in Sotatsu's work. It is a masterpiece that fully conveys the charm of Sotatsu's paintings, such as a bold screen composition that uses straight lines and curves brilliantly, skillful coloring mainly in green and white, and quotations from old picture scrolls.

The printing requires the best materials, with quality ink and handmade Japanese washi paper, and experienced craftsmen are the only ones able to properly design the prints.
